A post about miracles

Quite frankly, I feel like I'm making a miracle right now just by starting this post. Blogging has dropped out of my life in the past couple months, and I have to apologize. Just so you know, about 30% of that apology goes out to you guys, my few and faithful readers.  The other 70% is an apology to the academic, driven part of myself that has been neglected in favor of lazing around playing Skyrim, not finding a job, not updating my resume, and generally enjoying not having to go back to school.

That said, I'm not a fan of my brain turning to mush, and with all this free time, I can either start writing again, or continue doing craft projects until my graduation money runs out. I'll do another post just for the reading and crafting I've been up to. (I promise.)

For now, I think it's appropriate, that since it's Tuesday, that I should reintroduce TEDtalk Tuesdays.

So...this is where my brain is at. I'm learning about my favorite animal--the sea turtle.  (note: fins not feet!) I figure a slow reintroduction to thinking will help me not quit this blogging thing again.

TEDed is Chris Anderson's (curator of TED.com) new baby. It's still in beta phase. I can't remember when I watched the first TEDed video that called out for Questions that no one knows the answers to. Chris wants to make education fun and accessible and a collaboration. And he's specifically targeting kids.

That's why these new lessons are animated. It's Chris utilizing his global reach in combination with the internet and calling out to a workforce (the animators) and asking them to work with the dreamers (teachers, educators, role models) for the sake of the consumers (you, me, kids).

Weird. I think I just idolized Chris Anderson.

Yep. Chris Anderson is officially my idol, and is yet another superhero who has chosen to use power for good over evil.

C'mon.  Watch the damn turtle video.  They're cute.  and you'll learn something new.  =)

Happy TEDed Tuesday everyone!
