Too often I've found my brain running circles around my body in the hours close to sleep--that is, those hours when I'm laying in bed like a poor insomniac with to-do lists wishlists plans texts wonderings hungerings and random thoughts zipping around like bouncy balls in that bony thing they call my cranium.
On the whole, I just want to use this blog to help me think in a more...focused fashion. I have a bunch of goals this quarter, and I want to see if this blog helps me accomplish any of them.

...So pull up the covers, get comfortable, and dreamthink with me.
Editorial Calendar:
TED talk Tuesdays: To get me to think regularly, and deeply.
Florence Fridays: To motivate me to plan my trip. Learn about my dream trip to Italy in this first post.
Sunday Scribbles: To encourage me to practice drawing every week.
I'd also like to attribute the title/inspiration for this blog to my best friend ak--she's the friend who always challenges me to think, even when I don't want to, and her very first blog post was about having a room of her own to think in (inspiration from Virginia Woolf), and, while I haven't read that essay, I took her words literally, and sort of expanded on it into this blog. Thanks ak!
